Zoom H5 portabler Audiorecorder

Zoom H5 ... my first handheld, I was worried it would be difficult to use as I'm a novice but it has pt9ved to be very intuitive. Still loafs to try out with it. Very happy customer. Thank you

I make short artist films and trialled this after doing interview training where the instructor had a version 4. I’ve just done a field recording in the New Forest and only bought the H5 a few days before the trip. It was quick and easy to learn and I prefer fiddling with real knobs for adjustments. Very impressed with it so far and it’s the piece that’s been missing for me (having already tried kit that I had to capture into sound recording software on a laptop). Also Andertons sales support is second to none. Not sure how the rubber coating will be longer term hence 4/5 for that. Otherwise 5 star

Excellent recorded sound quality and easy to use. I use it to record band rehearsals and it produces great results with the push of a button, no cables or complicated menus. It’s also great for getting ideas down quickly. Having used a variety of portastudios in the past this is a breath of fresh air in both simplicity and quality. It’s capable of a lot more than I am currently using it for and look forward to exploring its full capabilities in the future

On 1st trial, this operates along very similar lines to the ancient H4n it replaces. Some preliminary trials lead me to believe that the record quality is much better. The old H4n did everything I needed it to, but the H5 has a more rugged feel to it, and, based on the preliminary trials, would appear less likely to suffer operator error mishaps in a live situation where it is not possible to monitor the recording throughout

Not very straightforward to use. I'm sure it will get easier though
