This light is so much fun. You need an adapter to use in most uk lamps though. App is easy to use and colour changes are instant and millions of them. You can have static colour or limited effects, rainbow etc. You can link some bulbs together so they all change colour if you want.

White (possibly the other colours as well) could be brighter but it's ok enough for residual mood lighting in the uplighter I've bought it for. On the effects side the only effect I found disappointing is the candle as I don't see and effect occurring when selected. That said it's easy and fun to use once you've downloaded the app to your phone or tablet and you'll spend a while at first playing around with it before you settle down on a colour to suit your mood. Also it's way cheaper than the Philips hue gizmos.
