I got this as a gift for my 10 year old nephew and he loved it. We spent good quality time putting it together. I recommend it.

it was for our 7 yr old grandsons birthday. He thought it was great and started putting it together without help.

We have several sets of star war lego for our son. They all look cool but they don't do much like the creator set that you can take apart and rebuild different things. I think it's OK but just not a good value overall. My 6 year old son could independently build this, so I'd say the instruction is clear and easy to follow.
