Elac Debut Reference C5 Centerlautsprecher, schwarz/holz

Was looking for a pair of quality speakers to replace a pair of Polk RT5's which had seen better days Having read various reviews on various brands was eventually impressed by a guy called Andrew Jones & his Elac range of speakers which I believe are exclusively designed by him His demos on U Tube were quite impressive so I took the plunge & bought a pair They are not run in yet but I can envisage the sound quality to come , they are superb , the vocals are really outstanding I am actually hearing details & sounds that I've not heard before on my albums For somewhere around £250 you get an amazing soundscape from these speakers Trust me folks you will not be disappointed ---- Tip if you happen to like well produced atmospheric music do yourself a favour & listen to Pocupine Trees Voyage 34 album or Up The Downstair --- immense !!!! So take a bow Andrew Jones !

Sound as good as people say. A lot more clean bass than I anticipated. Most people will be more than happy.

I used to be a skeptic about bookshelf speakers, especially when it came to them reproducing bass. These speakers changed my mind the moment I began listening to them. The highs are a bit soft, they aren't as crisp as they could be, so if you're looking for a warmer tone, these are for you. The mids are the best I've heard on any speaker. Voices come out sounding like the person is singing in the room. The lows are surprisingly good for a 5" speaker. Bass is punchy and clear, not muffled or muddy. The only thing is that the extreme lows don't really come through as well. Overall I don't think I could be happier. The B6s may be a better option for that lower bass, but for a set of small speakers in a small room these things are unbeatable at this price and several hundred dollars above.

I used to have Dayton b652's and these speakers blow them out of the water! Sound amazing with my turntable setup.. Video was recorded with my phone and does not do them justice!

Amazing sound stage, imaging and clearity/separation. I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality sound at a budget price. I have these hooked up to my Marantz 2252B vintage receiver and the combination is beautiful. I highly recommend the Elac B5's.
