I bought this same model of shoe I purchased in February 2025 and wore almost daily since then. That first pair was super comfortable right out of the box. (I walked about 12 miles in a combination of city and countryside the day after buying them with no issues whatsoever.) They wore out this spring (sole falling off at the toe and worn out at the heel, and waterproofing starting to fail), so this new pair will replace them. The new pair is equally comfy and my feet stay dry in wet conditions. They are pretty light colored and I am on muddy trails a lot, so that was a concern but I liked this color better than the other option. So far they seem to be resistent to becoming completely stained. They feel a littler wider than last year’s pair but I was able to cinch down the shoelaces and they seem to be holding all right.

Disclaimer - did not purchase from REI. These are among the best hiking shoes I've ever had. The fit is amazing and they are fantastic for any kind of moderate hiking and trail running. The tread is solid and doesn't slip on smooth rock / loose gravel surfaces. Incredibly comfortable, great fit, and the "laces" hold firm. I have had them for about 6 months so far, and no signs of wear, so I think they will hold up well over time. Zero complaints. 5 stars.

Excellent quality crossfit shoes that stand up to a lot of abuse; still look new. I do 3-5 miles off trail, running through the woods and up and down hills, juming off rock ledges at least 3-days per week. I encounter cactus, Yucca plants, hoand those weeds that stick in fabric and regular tennis shoes; they dont stick in these shoes. Ive had them for approximately 2-months and couln"t be happier! I would certainly purchase them again!

They’re comfortable right out of the box! Wore them for the first time on a strenuous 6 mile hike. My feet were not aching as bad as they did with my old hiking boots. Love the colors too! And I especially love the fact that they don’t have laces and are perfect for rainy days. I am between a size 7.5 and 8 and the 8 fit better. I’d say they run a little small.

My husband says they are the most comfy shoes he’s had. He walks the tread off his shoes very quickly, but his last pair of Salomon’s were very durable so we hope the same. So a normal user should get a long life out them.
