These shoes have been an excellent value and performed just as I expected. Great support, definitely water proof and very durable. I have worn them regularly for trails locally as well as on the west coast in recent national park touring and they kept me sure footed and stable through it all. Highly recommend!

I’ve had these shoes for half a year now they’re super comfortable but for a shoe that’s waterproof It is ironic how slippery they get on rocky surfaces in wet conditions. The large knobs with the big space in between create points of slip.

I have a narrow foot. A genuine 13B. The Salomon last fits me better than most any other brand--unless it is a rare brand that explicitly offers a narrow option. These were comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. The first outing in them involved ascents and descents. I felt secure on the steepest grades. The jury is still out on the "speed laces". I very much like how they work. Quick and secure. I hope they hold up.

Have the non-goretex version which has some good features for technical trails including tall cleats and no welt, means there is no sole sticking out beyond the bottom of the shoe which can clip protruding rocks and roots alongside the foot plant, though the cleats wear out too fast even off pavement. But these: The tongue is gusseted to keep gravel out, but there is so little extra material that I could not get my slightly high arched foot into them. I returned them.
