Poor quality construction and Hoka customer support. Eyelet ripped out within 3 weeks. Tried to warranty through Hoka, but never heard back. Luckily REI has excellent return policy, opted to exchange for another pair of Hokas because they felt good on my feet and hoped I had just had gotten a bad pair to begin with. Within 3 weeks the eyelet ripped out of new pair. Will be returning these to REI for a refund. Disappointed with the quality of these shoes and the lack of support from Hoka.

I bought the Hoka Speedgoat 7 because I had been very satisfied with the previous versions, especially the Speedgoat 5. Unfortunately, both the 6 and 7 started showing significant issues.I have always purchased the same size, but these two versions fit smaller: after only 2 km of walking, my toes start hurting. I even tried a larger size, but the problem remains. On top of that, the outsole wears out after just 300 km. The quality of the materials has clearly declined.I’m switching to another brand.

Poor manufacturing quality and durability as so many other reviews have flagged. I’ve had the various versions of the speedgoat over the last 5+ years. The decline in quality is unbelievable all while the price continually goes up. Holes are forming in the same areas as others despite these shoes having what should be considerable life left.

These are my 5th Speedgoat. I have Speedgoat 3, 4, 5, multiple pairs. All previous models I wore size 10. With the Speedgoat 7, the size 10 was too small in the toe box.

I've had Hoka's Speedgoat 5 and 6. Loved them. Something's wrong with the 7. The quality and durability is poor, very poor. I had to warranty TWO pairs within a month. Both times, an eyelet blew-out when simply lacing them up. I didn't pull too hard or over-tighten. The poor quality of material simply gave out; the laces ripped right through the eyelets. A total bummer, since I love the fit and feel of this shoe...
