I've had a MacBook Air for well over 10 years - it was getting a little slow, battery life less than optimal, and mouse pad a little "iffy" - so, time for an upgrade. While I liked the MacBook Air because of its compactness and minimal weight, I was no longer traveling and so did not need these features and opted for a larger MacBook Pro. This one had all the features I was looking for, and the capability of transferring ALL my data from the Air to the Pro via Bluetooth was a real plus. Given that the Pro model I was looking at was on sale at AAFES for about $200 less than normal retail, it was a great incentive and I'm happy with my purchase.
