Die Teufel AIRY OPEN TWS Moon gray bieten ein Open-Ear-Design, sodass Musik und Umgebung gleichzeitig hörbar sind. Die Akkulaufzeit beträgt bis zu 20 Stunden mit Ladecase, und dank IPX4 sind sie schweiß- und regengeschützt. Es fehlt jedoch aktive Geräuschunterdrückung, und das offene Design führt zu weniger Bass und mehr Umgebungsgeräuschen, was die Klangqualität in lauten Umgebungen beeinträchtigen kann. Die Teufel Airy Open TWS sehen zunächst einmal ungewöhnlich, gar fremd, aus. Es sind eher Kopflautsprecher, denn Kopfhörer. Und auch beim ersten Aufsetzen muss man erst eine Technik finden, wie man sie um die Ohrmuscheln herumschlingt. Doch hat man den Dreh raus, hängen die Lautsprecherchen ganz wunderbar an den Lauschern – ohne unangenehm zu drücken oder beim Laufsport abzufallen. Drückt man dann auf dem verbundenen Abspielgerät auf Play, ist man erstaunt. Der Klang mit den Open-Ears von Teufel ist im Vergleich zu In-Ear-Kopfhörern irgendwie natürlicher und ehrlicher. Übertreibt man nicht mit der Lautstärke, bleibt der Sound auch verhältnismäßig voll und warm. Möchte man Musik hören und dabei gleichzeitig die Umgebung wahrnehmen, sind die Open-Ears von Teufel, die es für gut 120 Euro gibt, eine gute Wahl.

I have been looking for suitable earphones for a long time and have now found them with Airy Open TWS. In-ear hearing aids always slipped ou t of my ear when I was running and you don't hear the ambient noise - this is completely different with the Airy Open TWS. At first I wasn't sure, because the picture doesn't show how comfortable they really are to wear. In fact, you can adjust the earpiece to fit your ear exactly and it sits firmly on your ear. I wore them for the whole marathon and they never slipped or gave me any uncomfortable pressure points. Great product! Maybe they could think about even better controls, such as volume and switching via voice commands - that would be another advantage in competition if you didn't have to interrupt the arm movement.

These headphones are very easy to use. I wear hearing aids and have to take them out to use the AIRYs. Despite this, the headphones produce a very good sound, both in the treble range (very important for me, as this is where I have the greatest hearing loss) and in all other frequency ranges. The fact that you can't control the frequency response via an app is not a major issue for me, as I control this via my (HiRes) MP3 player. The perception of the surroundings is very good. I am delighted to have bought this product.
