Der Sennheiser HD 650 ist für seinen neutralen, natürlichen Klang bekannt und bei Audiophilen und Profis beliebt. Der Tragekomfort ist dank weicher Velourpolster hervorragend, sodass auch lange Hörsessions angenehm bleiben. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist hoch und Ersatzteile sind leicht erhältlich, was die Lebensdauer verlängert. Der Bass ist präzise, aber es fehlt an tiefem Sub-Bass, und die Höhen wirken wärmer und weniger brillant als bei manchen Mitbewerbern. Die Klangbühne ist intim und weniger breit als bei anderen offenen Kopfhörern. Aufgrund der hohen Impedanz spielt der HD 650 am besten mit einem guten Verstärker. Insgesamt eine ausgezeichnete Wahl für ausgewogenen und komfortablen Musikgenuss, aber wer viel Sub-Bass oder eine sehr breite Bühne sucht, sollte sich anderweitig umsehen.

I bought these headphones because they received very good on-line reviews and because they cover the ears. I wear over-the-ear hearing aids that were not working well with my on-the ear Grados. I get much better sound transmission and quality with these Sennheisers, as my hearing aids are inside the cups and get a better exposure to the drivers than I was getting with the Grados. I'm very satisfied with the HD650's.

wohl mit unter den besten studio Kopfhörern, in der Preisklasse sowieso. Satte Bässe, höhen und Mitten sind klar, deutlich aber nicht zu schrill der Sound hat allgemein viel "Raum" in den Kopfhörern. Bin immer wieder überrascht, wenn ich die Kopfhörer abnehme um nochmal mit meinen (nicht schlechten) Studio Monitoren abzuhören... Die Kopfhörer wirken oft als hätte der Sound mehr Raum und Druck. Durch sie offene Bauweise ergibt sich natürlich der Nachteil, dass um einen herum jeder mithören kann - absoluter Studio-Kopfhörer.
