Der Mackie MC-450 bietet einen sehr detaillierten und neutralen Klang, was ihn ideal für Mixing und Mastering macht. Das ergonomische Design mit Lederkopfbügel und Memory-Foam-Ohrpolstern sorgt für langanhaltenden Komfort, während die robuste Bauweise und die mitgelieferte Tragetasche die Haltbarkeit erhöhen. Drei austauschbare Kabel bieten Flexibilität. Nachteile sind der helle, teils ermüdende Hochton, begrenzte Isolation durch das Open-Back-Design und eine relativ geringe Lautstärke bei mobiler Nutzung. Auch Gewicht und Sitz können anfangs straff wirken. Insgesamt eine ausgezeichnete Wahl für kritisches Hören im Studio.

Mackie MC 450 Mackie had not been on my radar as a headphone manufacturer before, Now I had the opportunity to listen to their flagship, the MC450. The headphones come with three different connection cables, a sturdy soft case for the headphones and a smaller case for the accessories.

Mackie’s entry into the headphone market can certainly be described as successful. Especially the – second place in terms of price – MC-250 which convinced us with their price-performance ratio. All three previous models in the series ( MC-150 , 250 and 350 ) had one thing in common: they were all closed designs. With the MC-450, Mackie now introduce their first studio headphones with an open back, and these have all the advantages associated with such a design, like less heat build-up and the feeling of still being in contact with your surroundings.
