Die Google Pixel Buds A-Series sind vollständig kabellose In-Ear-Kopfhörer mit kompaktem Ladecase. Der Akku bietet bis zu 5 Stunden Hörzeit pro Ladung und insgesamt rund 24 Stunden mit dem Case. Die Ohrhörer haben eine IPX4-Zertifizierung gegen Schweiß und Spritzwasser. Jeder Ohrhörer verfügt über einen 12-mm-Treiber und zwei Richtmikrofone für Sprache. Das Case wird über USB‑C geladen und nutzt eine Standard-Bluetooth-Verbindung.

Bei den Google Pixel Buds 2a scheint die Antwort darauf ziemlich klar zu sein: am Ladecase. Denn während die Earbuds in Design, Leistung und Tragekomfort ziemlich nah an ihre großen Vorbilder herankommen – mit kleinen Abzügen beim ANC – geht das Ladecase besonders bei der Akkuleistung einen großen Kompromiss ein.

You can certainly use the Pixel Buds 2a with an iPhone or Galaxy device, but like the Pixel Buds Pro, you’re going to get the best out of these if you have a Pixel phone. Like Google’s previous models, these were built to be a conduit to Gemini Live and you’ll sacrifice some of the main features if you use the 2a with a non-Pixel device. If you do have a Pixel handset, there’s a lot to like here, including punchy sound, a comfy fit and respectable battery life. The limited hearing health tools are still handy and the addition of ANC is a welcome change. The best Google has to offer on Pixel Buds is still exclusive to the Pro 2, but the 2a is a perfectly capable audio companion for most Pixel phone owners.
