Die Fairphone Fairbuds überzeugen durch ihr reparierbares, modulares Design und austauschbare Akkus in Ohrhörern und Case. Sie bieten gute Geräuschisolierung und Komfort dank drei Ohrstöpselgrößen und IP54-Zertifizierung. Die Klangqualität ist jedoch mittelmäßig, besonders in den Höhen, und die Bluetooth-Verbindung ist instabil. Das Mikrofon ist für Anrufe schwach und die Akkulaufzeit beträgt nur etwa 5 Stunden. Sie sind ideal für Nutzer, die Nachhaltigkeit und Reparierbarkeit schätzen, aber weniger für Audiophile.

Unfortunately I had to return these. I was holding hopes high, and the company (Fairphone) are very much aligned with my values around sustainability. I so wanted these to work well, but sadly there were two issues: 1. The delay in audio when watching videos was problematic. I know it can be slower with bluetooth headphones for the sound to reach the earpiece, so it will never be quite as seemless as wired headphones, but this was nearly half a second out of sync. 2. Probably the most disappointing element was the quality of the mic. It was completely useless for zoom meetings and speaking on the phone, as it made my voice sound distant and electronically overprocessed. All in all, disappointing. I would only recommend these if you're planning on listening to music, in which case the above issues won't affect you.

Great sound and features. Repairable (e.g. you can buy replacement batteries or a single earbud). Fairphone are rated as the most ethical phone and accessories maker (e.g. their user of non conflict materials).

The Fairphone Fairbuds are good for commuting and travel. They do a superb job blocking out everything from the sound of plane engines to pedestrian street chatter. They're easy to toss in a pocket or bag, and even if you like to listen loud, you won't disturb anyone around you with your audio. On the other hand, while they have a stable fit, they're only decently comfortable, and it's easy to accidentally input the wrong swipe gesture command when using them in a hurry. Their roughly five-hour battery life also won't be enough to get you through a long flight without recharging.
