Bought these from all the reviews I kept reading on how these are the only foam tips to use and can only say they are ABSOLUTELy nowhere close to the sound isolation and comfort of the original Sony tips provided. Not even close. Cant use them. Waste of money but they sure do run a great sound forum awareness campaign.

I buy these only b/c I've yet to find any others that work as well with regard to fit and seal. The problem is, I'm forced to repeat buy these because they're poorly made and have a short life span. They flake, tear, and pull apart within a few weeks/months after purchase. Yes, you could probably extend the life if you treat them like quail's eggs. But will you?

I've used a pair of Westone UM2 earphones for both day-to-day listening and as in-ear-monitors for live music. I've always used Comply tips because the material is extremely comfortable during extended use, and it creates a perfect seal in my ear, which means great bass response, a significant reduction in outside noise, and consequently lower earphone volume and less hearing damage. I don't see any need to spend silly money on custom ear-moulds when these do such a great job.

So this particular set of tips fit both my Etymotic HF5s and my Klipsch Image S4is. The foam feels really great, and seems extremely durable, much moreso than a lot of other foam glider tips I've used. It improved the sound quality on the Klipsch Images, making the high end a bit more pronounced, and controlling the big mids. It also greatly improved the sound isolation over the included Klipsch rubber tips. However, it wasn't as good as relatively new Etymotic foam tips on my HF5s. It made the sound tinny and weird, and I didn't like the change at all. So for Klipsch - YES, for Etymotics - NO. Definitely a great buy though, and one I do not regret.

With the right size, these make my Soundmagic PL50s sound great. However, they don't last long at all. Got 3 weeks(!) out of the first pair.
