Bought these as a lighter alternative to my Senheisser HD 569 and they certainly are light and very comfortable. Lacking in bass (as you might expect from "open Back" design) "Tizzy" treble but these shortcomings can be rectified with a suitable EQ in Poweramp which is my MP3 player of choice when not using my Sony NW A45. I only give 3 stars for sound quality because my Senhiesser were fine for me straight from the box. These needed a fair bit tweaking with software, but at the end of the day sound quality has a very large subjective component to it, and the shortcomings were pretty much cured in software. I did eventually manage to get them to sound "Right" for me. I would reccomend them for the price if you have the software to tweak the sound a bit.

I have AT30's and they translate the best for mixes. They do NOT sound nice, but mixes I check on them, translate well to most other systems. People keep saying how much better open back headphones are. But to my ears, these have less bass - less punch and less range. The mids are harsh - so mush so if I checked mixes on them, I'd radically re EQ (which is not good) and the highs are not as clear as they can be (even like on a Beyer 770). I'm sure for HIFI use they may be great, especially for rock or harder EDM like Drill. But for me, they are not pleasant to listen to, or accurate. The open back advantage was a NEGATIVE. So IF you can, listen to them first. Or be ready to send them back.

So comfortable, you can wear them for hours as the open back means you don’t need to worry about your ears , great for the studio, sound natural and airy just what I wanted :)

These sound absolutely fantastic, since they’re open back there is no noise cancellation but they give a nice airy sound and don’t suffocate your ears, I can wear them for 4 hours a day without having any major discomfort. Build quality is solid with no excess flex where it shouldn’t be and high quality, soft padding on the cups themselves. My only issue is that they look pretty dorky, I wore them on a zoom call when I first got them and got some interesting looks and a few “nice headgear” comments from my mates. Still if no one see you wearing them they’re well worth it!

Extremely comfortable with a bright clear sound, without either boosted bass or noise filters, making it ideal for editing the audio for video and podcasts. No doubt, bigger budgets and young ears could benefits from much more expensive top-end headphones. Recommended if you are 40+. Recommended if want something for extended wear during streaming. Recommended if you need to listen carefully to small adjustments while editing the audio tracks of your videos and podcasts.
