Excellent sound. A bit heavy from a comfort standpoint.

The Audeze LCD-X are great headphones right out of the box, but pairing them with a quality DAC and a bit of EQ is what really makes them shine. The low end extends exactly where I need it to for critical listening, with excellent control and detail. The mids are nicely forward, making vocals and instruments easy to place in a mix. With just a touch of EQ, the high end becomes fast, open, and airy without sounding harsh. Overall, they're an outstanding set of headphones for both professional audio work and enjoyable listening.

The Audeze LCD-X have great audio reproduction accuracy. They don't deviate much from their warm sound profile and have amazingly well-matched left and right drivers, ensuring objects are properly placed in the stereo field. Their remarkably flat mid-range keeps vocals and instruments sounding accurate and true-to-life, while the subdued treble can help reduce listening fatigue. They also have remarkably low harmonic distortion, so you won't notice any coloration from it. If there's one notable downside, it's that their spatial presentation isn't quite as expansive as some other open-backs: your audio won't interact with your pinna in the same way as two angled reference monitors, which can make spatial information sound unnatural.

With LCD-X, Audeze shows itself at its best. Here you get a lot from the top models, but at a more palatable price.

Wollte einmal richtige gute Kopfhörer haben, und die LCD und Thomann haben mich hier nicht enttäuscht !. Die Tiefen ,mitten und höhen sind ein Traum der Tragekomfort und die Leistung der Kopfhörer jenseits von allem. Der Tragekomfort mit den Dicken Lederpolstern die mit wenig Pflege Jahre danach noch immer wie neu Aussehen und das Service von Thomann haben mich den Kauf nie bereuen lassen . Jederzeit wieder, ich bin froh so eine geniale Seite wie Thomann gefunden zu haben und werde Ihnen als Kunde treu bleiben.
