Offene Over-Ear-Kopfhörer mit festem Kabel und großen Ohrmuscheln. Der K702 ist für den Heimgebrauch und kritische Hörsituationen gedacht. Das offene Design lässt Umgebungsgeräusche durch und gibt Schall nach außen ab. Die leichte Bauweise unterstützt langes Tragen. Der Klang ist breit und detailreich, aber die Konstruktion schirmt kaum ab und ist daher weniger für laute Umgebungen geeignet.

I purchased these headphones directly from AKG's website on March 28, 2026, and they were shipped to me on March 31, 2026. On May 7, 2026, the right ear went out--I am hearing sound only through the left ear. I have never had studio headphones do this before, and am now learning that this is a known problem with the K702s. Please fix it, Harman/AKG. For $215, I expect these headphones to last more than a month with LIGHT use.

Mit dem Austausch der Ear Pads ist der von mir noch immer heiß und innig geliebte K702 jetzt wieder wie neu, und das nach Jahren der Benutzung. So etwas nenne ich mal nachhaltig! Der Austausch der beiden Pads (nochmal: man muss zwei bestellen!) war aufgrund der Hinweise hier kein großes Problem: Zwar ist das einrasten ein wenig fummelig, aber wenn es dann klackt, muss man sie sie zum arretieren lediglich noch ein wenig drehen und sie sitzen fest. Meine Empfehlung: Es macht Sinn, bei dieser Gelegenheit auch gleich die beiden Schaumnetzscheiben auszutauschen. Die sahen bei mir zwar noch deutlich besser aus als die mittlerweise im Inneren doch sehr zerbröselten Ohrpolster, aber für 1,50 EUR pro Stück ist das eigentlich ein nowbrainer und man hat wirklich alles wieder neu (und hygienisch - zumindest für eine Weile ... :-)).

Having used the K701 and then this one for a total of several years (6-8 years or so, they are almost identical), these headphones are just great, especially considering the price: they are comfortable and lightweight, allowing you to wear them all day without the usual "auditory" fatigue or other issues, they have superb sound quality with good treble (although, like many AKG products, they lack a little bass), and the cable is nice and long, which is very convenient. That said, depending on how you use them, the cable may wear out faster than expected (can be purchased separately), the automatic adjustment may take a few weeks to settle in properly depending on the shape of your head, and above all, be careful not to drop them too often or anything, as they are more fragile than they look!

Superb quality monitoring headphones. I already had an old pair of these but decided to get a new set. They are top quality and my favourite headphones for mixing music
