Lost Sphear bietet ein vielfältiges und strategisches Kampfsystem mit viel Freiheit, unterstützt von schöner Grafik und einem starken Soundtrack. Komfortfunktionen machen das Spielen angenehm. Lost Sphear ist ein unterhaltsames Rollenspiel der japanischen Schule, welches viele Dinge richtigmacht. Es hat einen soliden Soundtrack, ein interessantes Kampfsystem und auch die Handlung kommt nach ein paar Stunden in Schwung. Manchmal vermisst man während des Spielens allerdings die Freiheit und die Erkundungsmöglichkeiten, die einem andere Titel im Genre bieten. Jeder Schritt, den der Spieler tut, fühlt sich sehr von den Entwicklern gewollt an, sodass man sich häufig nur vom einen zum anderen Handlungspunkt bewegt. Ein paar mehr Nebenquests hätten dem Spiel definitiv gut getan. Nichtsdestotrotz kann man mit Lost Sphear definitiv seinen Spaß haben, erst recht, wenn man seinem Vorgänger I am Setsuna bereits etwas abgewinnen konnte.

This is a good little game if you know how to take it. It’s no BoTW or Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It’s also far from the best you’ll see come from anything associated with Square Enix but what it is is a great little RPG that you can play in handheld without needing to kill your Switch’s battery or give 23 out of your 24 hours in a day. The battle system is a little too deep for what it is but frankly you can get by more than well enough with basics anyway. It’s a very linear game but that makes it quick to play with it’s autosave function and many save points scattered throughout the game. The negative reviews I read for this game seem to be people not quite being able to understand that’s it’s not a billion hours long RPG and it’s also not Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 even though it does pay homage to them. I’m really enjoying this game when I’m a bit stuck for time. I say play if you want an RPG that doesn’t require you to sell your soul/social like to play it! :D
