Team Sonic Racing überzeugt mit innovativen Teamrennen, bei denen Zusammenarbeit im Mittelpunkt steht. Es gibt viele Sonic-Charaktere und Fahrzeuge sowie umfangreiche Anpassungsmöglichkeiten. Multiplayer ist sowohl lokal als auch online stark. Einige Spieler vermissen jedoch den Battle-Modus und zusätzliche Inhalte früherer Sonic-Rennspiele. Auf der Nintendo Switch gibt es Framerate-Probleme, besonders im TV-Modus. Sound und Sprachausgabe sind nicht immer angenehm, und das Online-Matchmaking kann langsam sein. Insgesamt ein spaßiger und strategischer Kart-Racer, besonders mit Freunden.

For some context I played tons of racing games on the highest diffuclty and i played the first game of the series on ds so i understand how to play these games. My only issues is the scaling for any difficulty above normal is way too high, cause no matter how well i drive catching up when sent back is more difficult then it should be. Also the team system is really a set back cause if you do well holding 1st but your team cant catch up too you it usually results in 2nd or 3rd placement which gets frustrating cause it happens often even when you shower them with items to help them.

Great game, but items slow you down too much. In one race I was in first and got hit by an item and was put in seventh place.

The racing is smooth and feels slowish. But the main problem is the 3rd chapter locking of the remainder of the story with 2 unfair challenge races that i think were untested.
