Nintendo Sushi Striker: The Way Of Sushido für 3DS bietet ein einzigartiges und süchtig machendes Puzzle-Erlebnis mit schneller Action und viel Tiefe. Die Stylus-Steuerung funktioniert sehr gut und erleichtert das Bilden von Ketten. Es gibt viele sammelbare Sushi-Sprites mit eigenen Fähigkeiten, was für Abwechslung sorgt. Die Einzelspielerkampagne ist lang und wird von humorvollen Anime-Zwischensequenzen begleitet. Das Gameplay kann jedoch mit der Zeit etwas repetitiv werden, besonders in späteren Levels, in denen Glück eine größere Rolle spielt. Multiplayer ist vorhanden, aber nicht der Hauptfokus. Empfehlenswert für Puzzle-Fans und Liebhaber des japanischen Stils, aber mit Wiederholungen und begrenztem Multiplayer.

Sushi Striker offers surprising depth for a puzzle game that almost anyone could enjoy, as well as a substantial single player story with some great twists and turns. Despite some niggles with the game’s various control schemes, the core gameplay is fun, frenetic and fast-paced. Make no mistakes, Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido is one of the most well put together puzzle games on the Switch.

Despite its short runtime, there's a lot of charm packed into its campaign, and plenty to do once the credits have rolled. The easy-to-learn, hard-to-master control scheme ensures it's accessible to everyone, whilst the replayability and multiplayer (including a function that allows two players to use the same console in tabletop mode) solidify its place as a consistent pick-up-and-play staple for the Nintendo Switch library.
