Megadimension Neptunia VIIR bietet bessere Grafik, flüssigere Performance und einen optionalen VR-Modus. Das Kampfsystem ist taktischer und es gibt viele Verbesserungen für den Komfort. Leider funktioniert der VR-Modus durch PS4-Updates nicht mehr richtig, was ein großer Nachteil ist. Für Kenner des Originals sind die Unterschiede gering, und das Kampfsystem wirkt langsamer. Viele Umgebungen werden wiederverwendet. Das Spiel ist vor allem für neue Spieler oder Fans geeignet, die die Serie noch nicht kennen.

Megadimension Neptunia is a JRPG full of references to all sorts of games and media. The gameplay and story is great, but the dialogue has to be the best part about it. Highly recommended if you’re a fan of JRPGs and anime.

Wer das ursprüngliche Megadimension Neptunia VII besitzt und kein PS VR sein Eigen nennt, der braucht sich die Neuauflage VIIR nicht zu holen. Dafür sind die Unterschiede zu marginal, da der Gamer Room nur ein nettes Add On ist, aber keine sinnvolle Bereicherung. Bei wem dies nicht der Fall ist, den erwartet eines der besten Neptunia -Spiele überhaupt, mit einigen interessanten Veränderungen, wie zum Beispiel einem einzigen Ende und einem strategischer verlaufenden Kampf.

Cubed3 Rating As tends to be the case with the franchise, Megadimension Neptunia VIIR makes for a solid entry in the series for pre-existing fans, but may alienate newcomers expecting a more engaging battle system or plot. The script's humour certainly does a good job at keeping the cast mostly likeable, and the references directed at the games industry is charming enough, yet nothing ever truly comes together to deliver a gripping narrative, satirical or not. Battles are conceptually interesting thanks to the new mechanics, along with an emphasis placed on character placement, which works quite well for boss fights, but starts to lose its lustre in smaller scale battles. Megadimension Neptunia VIIR isn't a bad RPG, but a slow battle system and a focus on grinding hardly make it a great one.
