bought set from affiliated amazon company that begins with a w. came neatly packed, with glass lid so you can use it as a regular pot. also came with an extra rubber seal. big pot good for stews, just remember to not fill it up to the top, there are markers on the pot to help you. big pot also good as regular pot to cook spaghetti. have made curry, beef stew, chili with big pot, easy and quick. smaller pot good for soups, smaller batch cooking. both are quality pots, with the trans therm? bottom for even cooking. can use with induction and regular cooktops. make sure you get a cookbook specifically written for pressure cookers, miss vickies has a series of them, which you can purchase here on amazon, or even check out at your local library. i went the latter route, then purchased the cookbook that worked best for me. after you do a couple of recipes, you can then try your own adapted to the pressure cooker. highly recommend.

I had read good reports on this P.C. so decided to order and try it. It is very easy to use. The instructions are well written with great pictorials. I have used it numerous times in the week or so since it's arrival and it performs! It's quiet, easy to clean, safe.......what more could you ask. I am sure I will get many years of good service from this WMF Pressure Cooker. On an afternote, this order initially got mislabeled. Amazon and Brookstone did a great job stratening out the problem as quickly and smoothly as humanly possible. Good job!

This pressure cooker is fantastic. It is really well made. Unsurpassed German quality and design. Well thought out. Expensive, but you get what you pay for in this case. You'll never need a new one. Easy to clean. Pressure cooking is a lost art, you can make awesome pulled pork in 1hr (pressure cook time). It whistles like a tea kettle, if you get over pressure. Don't be scared, this is NOT your grandmothers pressure cooker. If you want a good tool, that will save you time AND electricity... this is it. Look no further, read no other reviews. Just buy it.

I love this cooker. I've used it to make a quick roast, green beans from the garden, etc. It simply works. The first time I used it I started the cooker on high heat and stepped away for a moment. Next a I hear a shriek from the kitchen. The Cooker is venting steam out the handle and things are obviously awry. I had purchased an open box and thought maybe I had a defective unit. I lowered the heat and shortly the noise subsided. Some mentioned not being able to regulate the pressure but my old electric range doesn't seem to have a problem keeping the pressure regulated. Subsequent use has proven this to be a keeper. The noise was due to my negligence in bring the cooker to pressue. Too much pressure and seals will have to release it some how. I'm very pleased. I might event buy the smaller one to give as a present.

I got a small aluminum pressure cooker as a gift and I wanted an upgrade that I could cook larger meals in. After much research I decided on this WMF pressure cooker. The quality is excellent, it is easy to assemble and disassemble, it cooks quietly under pressure and most importantly everything I have made is delicious. I wanted to wait until I had owned it for a bit to write a review and after a couple of months using this several times a week I can say that I highly recommend both pressure cookers in general and this brand specifically.
