Yamaha reface CP Stage E-Piano

The selling point for me was size, and sound quality which is excellent. It’s perfect for a compact space, the octave shifter is excellent, it is really fiddly to get the grand piano (hidden patch) selected, which is my most frequent setting. But I have had lots of fun exploring the intended features and it’s a solid well built instrument which has proven itself as a compact tool to learn piano.

Fantastic keyboard compact and ideal for home recording projects

Excellent instrument. Absolutely gorgeous tones, and surprisingly sturdy build quality. The onboard speakers are a wee bit quiet but I was always going to play it through an amp anyway. Just delicious.

The reface series is awesome. But the sound of the onboard speakers is not good enough for the price and the output signal also very low, which can cause problems while recording the instrument and also leads to a very quiet sound over headphones even on maximum volume. Lastly there really should three knobs to tweak the highs, mids and lows of the overall sound of the instrument, because the sound presets sound very different and some lack a certain brightness in my opinion. All in all its a very cool instrument, but the price is way too high considering the long list of things that could be better.

Bought as a gift. Recipient was delighted. Excellent value.
