M-AUDIO Keystation Mini 32 Mk3 Midi-controller

So ich war länger auf der Suche nach einem günstigen Keyboard welches Midifähig ist und sonst möglichst wenig "überflüssige" Funktionen hat zumindest für das was ich damit anstellen wollte. Das kleine super günstige Keyboard kam an und natürlich war es extrem leicht und konnte auch sonst keinen besonders wertigen Eindruk machen. Was man für den Preis jedoch auch wirklich nicht erwarten kann. Es wäre jedoch das Keyboard meiner Wahl geblieben wenn es richtige Midi Buchse gehabt hätte. Ein Adapter wäre natürlich auch gegangen ich habe mich dann jedoch am Ende noch für ein etwas größeres Keyboard mit stabilem Gehäuse entschieden.

This is a budget no-frills entry-level device. It's great value for its price point, but it has very few features. My biggest bug bear with the device is that it comes with a very short USB A to USB Mini B cable. The cable length is probably fine if you're using it with a laptop, but the cable length is completely unusable for any other kind of device. Don't think you can just use a cable extender either, the device is unreliable/incompatible with USB hubs and extension cables. Lengthy USB Mini B cables are available on Amazon, but stores don't typically stock them because nothing uses Mini B anymore. The end result is a budget item that probably doesn't work out of the box for you. You will need to spend more time and effort getting a replacement cable.

The USB port fell out the 2nd time I ever tried to unplug the cable. It simply fell off the PCB and landed beside the controller. There was never any stress on the cable. There was an isolated "anti-tension" loop in the USB cable and plenty of slack, even without the loop (48" cable 24" inches from the computer). I have owned it 2 years, so it is well out of warranty, but two years of gentle, virtually non-existent use shouldn't cause it to just fall apart.

in itself is a sturdy product for the price, however, I have been having an issue with it in my DAW. it registers and connects but as soon as I load up a plug-in it dies completely. I have contacted m-audio about this issue as its absolutely no fault of Andertons

Keys were too small for me, unplayable. Better suit players with VERY small hands. Top marks to DJ/Mannys for smooth exchange for another more suitable USB keyboard.
