I bought the lens as a walk round do it all lens for my A7rIVA and A7rIIIA bodies and in most cases it fulfils it’s role. It’s nice to have the slightly wider angle for landscapes and the ability to give that telephoto range for when required., making it extremely versatile. The zooming action is reassuringly smooth and tight, eliminating lens creep and the size is relatively compact to carry around, but inevitably the lens is quite heavy, but reassuringly sturdy. Whilst inevitably not quite as sharp as separate 24-70 mm and 70 -200 mm lenses, the difference is only visible when zooming in very close and doesn’t stop me leaving the other 2 zoom lenses in the camera bag when I need to travel relatively light and compactness is required. Focusing is quick and lock is quick and accurate and stabilisation works well. The supplied lens hood is reversible for transportation. I would recommend this lens to anyone wanting a versatile one lens for most situations option

Das Objektiv war in einem sehr guten Zustand und der Preis war in Ordnung.

Fotografiere üblicherweise nicht mit Weitbereich-Zoom Objektiven. Hab mir das Objektiv für Ausflüge/Urlaub gekauft wenn Fotografieren nicht im Mittelpunkt steht und man nicht mehrere Objektive mitschleppen möchte. Von der optischen Qualität des Objektivs bin ich sehr angenehm überrascht, hier ist über den gesamten Bereich ein sehr gute Abbildungsleistung mit nur geringer Randunschärfe gegeben. Auch der Autofokus funktionier recht schnell und zuverlässig. Die Bildstabilisierung ist ebenfalls ok, hier gibt es allerdings Besseres. Da man so ein Objektiv nicht mit einer Festbrennweite vergleichen darf auf jeden fall empfehlenswert und volle Punktzahl.

I have tested this lens on various subjects and have found that it’s reasonably good but not crystal clear. Would like to see a GM in this range. Seems to be clearer at a higher zoom end than closer in.
