This lens is everything it needs to be. Much better image quality than I expected for the price. Highly recommend.

Had my eye on this lens since release - and am super happy I pulled the trigger on it. 800mm is fantastic reach, image quality is great, and F8 is not as much as an impact as thought. Yes, it struggles in low light, and dreary days are probably ones where you leave this lens home, but especially in the bright Aussie sun this is a great telephoto tool.

I purchased the lens from B&H Photo Video of New York City NY. The lens did not come with case. Do you have a recommendation for a carrying case? Why does 100400GM cone with a case but the 400800G does not come with a case.?

This is a surprisingly good lens and great fun to use. It is quite heavy, but what do you expect from a 800mm zoom lens. Thoroughly enjoying it.
