Sigma Telekonverter TC-1401 Canon

I bought the 1.4X extender because I knew that the 2.0X would take away auto focus on my Sigma 150-600mm zoom. What I didnt know was that the 1.4X would make my auto focus slower and that it would still take away some of my auto focus options. When I hit the Q button only the three left options work. The others are grayed out.

I'm sure it would be a good product if the lenses I had would fit it. Sent back. No issues.

I have the sigma 70-200mm f2.8, which I use about 50% in my photography, so I thought this teleconverter would come in handy for that 'extra reach.' This teleconverter does change my f2.8 to a f4, but that doesn't bother me. I took these pictures of the 2018 Fur Rondy local dog races with the 70-200 with the 1.4 teleconverter and like the results. I own the sigma 150-500 but haven't tried that out just yet with this teleconverter. If you are thinking about this for your sigma 70-200 f2.8 I would recommend it.

Arrived in good time in good order, for use on my Canon 5D Mark ll with a Sigma APO 150-500 F5-6.3 DG OS HSM, you loose auto focus but the steady feature still operates. 1 stop light loss doesn't seem to be too much of a problem, a carbon fibre monopod is a big help. You must make sure the converter fits the lens you plan to use it with, there are two 1.4x and two 2x by Sigma.
