Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II Art L-mount

The lens works extremely well in good lighting, but on both my Sony A7iii and A7iv, the lens hunts excessively in low light so badly that at a recent awards event, I was covering, I had to resort to manual focus. Apparently, after some research, this appears to be a known issue. I have no such issues with my native Sony lenses Fantastic for my portrait photography, where there are fewer people and the lighting can be controlled. Would not recommend for busy event photography.

This is my first lens ever from a mirrorless camera Sony A7M5 which have been contemplating for a long time between the Sigma and Sony brand. The lens is super quality build, heavier than expected by it should be IMO. The dials are smooth and not issues with the 82mm thread for my Kase Mag filters which is a blessing. The lens hood at this button to push to disconnect it which is nice . Haven't tested the auto focus in video and fast moving photography but so far I'm very impressed.

Basically a flawless lens. Amazing value for the price, I wouldn't ever consider getting the Sony GM II over this.

After long debate, i decided to pick up this lens for my A7IV. It was half the price of the Sony lens but delivers exceptional quality. Been using it for about a month now, and loving everything about it. Highly recommend it for photo and video.
