I needed a long lens for a specific shoot, this lens handled the job really well. It’s incredibly sharp with snappy focus. It’s a very good lens at any price.

Good Points: Fast silent autofocus with a good sharpness and bokeh, fits in a camera bag nicely (billingham or Domke F2) Improvement Points: AFL button will not work on Leica SL2-s or SL2, wish it came with tripod mount.

Good Points: Great carry anywhere tele zoom. Not too heavy. Great image quality (for me). Improvement Points: Include the tripod mount ring in with the lens for free.

Ich hatte vorher das Tamron 100-400 für meine Sony a7ii und musste es mit einem Canon-Sony adapter benutzen. Weil ich praktisch nur manuell fokusiere habe ich lange nicht bemerkt, dass der Adapter nicht zu 100% kompatibel war und der Autofokus nicht richtig angesteuert wurde. Deshalb habe ich mich für das etwas teurere Sigma mit direktem Sony E-Mount entschieden. Einzig nigative daran ist, dass der Verpackung keine Schutzhülle und keine Stativschelle beigelegt ist. Auf die Schutzhülle kann ich gerade noch verzichten, aber ein Objektiv mit dieser Grösse und Gewicht ist die Stativschelle ein Muss.
