Samyang 135mm F2.0 ED UMC, SLR, 11/7, Telefoto, Schwarz, 8,2 cm, 7,7 cm

Purchased purely for use in astrophotography, this lens is quite well known in those circles for this purpose. Despite the limited opportunities since purchasing due to the weather, it has really proved itself, even wide open at f/2, at capturing the wonders of the deep sky. Used with an astro-camera only so far, the ASI-585mc, imaging at f/2 is insanely fast and sharp. Even the stars look great, right into the corners, a common problem with almost every camera lens.

When I read the reviews I hadnt anticipated just how manual a lens this is. On my Canon 5d Mkiii or 5DR not only is there no active focus indicator which I anticipated but there is no coupling to exposure levels as well which I did not anticipate. Despite this it seems well built, the price is excellent, and it seems sharp and has very nice colour rendering. If you do not mind a truly manual lens it is a good addition to your kit.

Very good quality, well made lens. Used with a CCD camera for astrophotography with impressive wide field results. Very pleased and highly recommended.

Fantastic lens for the price. Almost zero distortion. Chromatic aberration can happen, but only in the most extreme circumstances.

Incredibly sharp lens, also not too bulky and fantastic value for money if you can do without autofocus
