Samyang 12mm F2.0 NCS CS Fuji X Schwarz

Very well built lens but is largely plastic but I have confidence using. Not cheap plastic though. If you are looking for a wide angle prime then I think you should shortlist this.

I owned the Samyang 8mm Fisheye and always has great results. Bought the 12mm F2 as a low cost wide angle and I am delighted with it's sharpness on colour on my X-T5. I'll be buying another Samyang soon.

Just started using this lens, was a bit apprehensive as i've never heard of the brand, but read a few reviews on it and they made up my mind to go for it. It was hugely cheaper than the genuine Sony ultra wide angle and at £279 I thought it would be worth taking a chance. As it turned out, it was a great decision, the design is great, it is very light and most important of all, it is super sharp and the colours it reproduces are top notch. I'm using it on the Sony A6700 and although I was a bit worried about distortion and parallax, the auto correction on the camera works a treat. Needles to say I am delighted with this lens and look forward to taking many more photos with it.

X-T4 performance is good. T5 performance is poor. Won't focus at all unless you've activated Subject Detection or Eye Autofocus, then tneds to focus in front of the focus point.

Good Points: Well built lens with weather sealing. Comes in a rather unique little zipped case. Very impressed with the perspective so far. Improvement Points: So far nothing to report, as it works well on my Fuji cameras
