With stabilization completely turned off you still see a black ring around your image. when you zoom in just enough to cut out the black ring you are practically at the same view you get with the standard lens. The view expanded 5% max when using the wide angle lens. Not worth the money at all! And I have to pay to ship it back... last time I purchase from B&H.

I used this lens on a Panasonic HC-WXF991K camcorder. One should enable the wide angle image stabilization feature but the stabilization itself creates a problem if your using a UV filter and a lens hood. There is vignetting or darkness in the corners when panning even when done slowly. If zoomed in a bit the problem is cured but some of the field of view is lost. I created a video of tests made with it and four other wide angle conversion lens, link is in my comment.

I purchased the Raynox Wide angle Adapter to use with my Olympus 12-40 lens. While it works as advertised the corners are softer than I would like. While I will keep it around for extreme situations, I managed to fine a good deal on the Olympus 9-18 wide angle which serves my needs better.

gives my hv30 a completely new High Def look. Would recommend. It's sort of expensive so I believe there are other lenses cheaper with the same quality but if you have a hv30, Id recommend a lens for it. It gives it a much better image....but I don't use my hv30 anymore. I've upgraded to a dslr, lol.

Use : Real Estate virtual Tours Great : Fits onto the Sony A300 like a glove Has little lens distortion on edges Quality of the lens Cons : Besides the quite obvious lens distortion not a single con it's the perfect wide angle add on lens. Final Thoughts : Would Definitely buy again, and intend to it was a great buy!!!
