Ive had this lens for over two years. Its always performed great, image and build quality are excellent, I use it all the time. Its not about having a large aperture, its having a relatively fast normal lens without taking almost any space in the bag. If you like to travel light, or want a standard lens to complement wider or longer zooms, this is an excellent choice.

I see why everyone talks about this lens. Amazing image quality and it weighs less than a pound. Great every day walk around lens. Works well on the K-1 with only occasional minor vignette corrections.

Seit einem Jahr nutze ich dieses optische Juwel mit zunehmender Begeisterung an der K5 und neuerdings an der K-S2 und bin von dessen Abbildungsqualität voll und ganz überzeugt. Trotz inzwischen großem und hochwertigen Pentax-"Objektivpark" greife ich oft und sehr gerne auf dieses handliche Objektiv zurück, was bestimmt nicht der Fall wäre, wenn es nur einen, der oben beschriebenen Mängel aufweisen würde.
