Panasonic LUMIX G VARIO 100-300mm

I got this lens for my daily walks with the dogs (rural area). I needed something lightweight and not too pricy for casual use and mostly random photos. Turned out this lens is definitely capable of professional use. Aperture is not big issue really with Lumix's nice ISOs and todays denoising AI (unless you REALLY need that fanceh look without post production ;) ). Stabilisation is very good - filming handheld is smoother than I've anticipated and pictures at 300mm are easy-peasy. Zooming in and out is smooth enough. Highly recommend.

I was a bit apprehensive before I took the plunge and bought the 100-300mm. I am glad I went ahead and purchased. For a lense with this range the rice is very reasonable. The image stabilisation with both lense and body working together enables good hand held telephoto images. See my images.

I bought this lens before going on a safari in the Serengeti. It proved to be an excellent purchase. Perfect for taking zoomed photographs on safari. It is also reasonably compact and not too heavy. The value for money is also good, so I highly recommend this lens.

A great super zoom that works really good and has in lens stabilisation. Photos pin sharp.

I used the lens for the first time at Goodwood members meeting photographing fast moving cars, the images are superb, I have yet to try it on wildlife photography but I'm certain it will work brilliantly.
