I own both the NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/2 5-63 VR and AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm ED VR that I use on my D5600 and D7500 cameras. Both are great lenses with the NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/2 5-63 VR being the lighter and slightly shorter of the two lenses. For most general purpose use I have the NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/2 5-63 VR installed on my D7500.

I am very happy with this lens. I have been able to get close-up photos which was a happy surprise. It extends smoothly and the focus is also smooth and works with the peeking feature. I look forward to traveling with it!

The autofocus performance of this lens paired with a Z50 II is excellent. Sharpness is very good overall. Good enough for daylight sports. If you are looking for a compact setup the versatility of this combination is hard to beat.

Fast auto focus. Light weight. Nice range, almost don't need another lens, which is great for travel and backpacking.

This is the perfect lens to complement my DX 24mm 1.7 on my Z50. I have a Z6ii also but I use that mainly for sports photography with longer lenses and my Z50 is my everyday carry and travel companion. I have both Z50 kit lenses but this lens makes the DX 16-50mm obsolete with its 27-210mm equivalent and I get plenty of reach for most of my daily shooting. The only drawback I can find so far is that at 16mm the hood vignettes the image but zooming in past 18mm makes it disappear, or I can just easily remove the hood altogether. I keep this lens on the Z50 almost all the time except for night shots which the 24mm (36mm equivalent) excels at. I like the compact Z50 with both of these lenses because it packs light and fast in a fanny/sling pack and is easy to handhold all day. I haven't put the DX 50-250 back on my Z50 since I bought this lens.
