Great lens for the money. Slightly plasticity but you expect that for this price range. Still what's inside is quality glass

Bought this lens as just purchased a Nikon D850 to replace D7200. So need to replace Dx lenses with Fx

A really good lens when a bit of distance is useful and for capturing blur - f1.8 aperture allows composition to make your subject pop and the lens is neither cumbersome in size nor terribly heavy.

I bought this prime lens to use on my Nikon D810 and l’m absolutely blown away by just how sharp the images are, after years of using zooms and being pleased with the results this takes the pictures to another dimension. I read up on this lens and most say it’s a portrait lens please don’t think that this is all it’s good at. I’ve now used it for street photos, architecture, full length portraits, still life(antique dolls), low light shots of plants and of course actual portraits. I have not been disappointed with any of the results. I’d recommend this lens to any photographer who wants to step up to becoming a serious photographer.
