Gutes Explorationsobjektiv – genau dafür habe ich es mir geholt, damit ich nicht so viel mitschleppen muss. Die Qualität ist gerade noch in Ordnung, perfekt für Urlaub und Wandern. Für wirklich hochwertige Aufnahmen ist es nicht meine erste Wahl, und das Bokeh ist auch nicht besonders. Aber als Allrounder völlig ausreichend.

When it rain or in very frosty condition I am confident it won't let me down. It's strong, I had one before with another camera so with no hesitation I bought it for my new camera.

I bought this lens on sale at Henry's and I absolutely love this lens. It is as good as my older 18-55 f2.8-4 but with more than double the telephoto length. It is a smooth zooming lens with the Fuji Aperture Ring and stabilization.

Good Points: I have several Fuji lenses, but did not buy this one as it had a poor review. That was only one, so after two years I risked it, though I was worried - was I wasting my money? The lens is fantastic. It IS sharp, a great carry-around, and I just wish this had been my first lens! My favourite of all is the 50-140, but it is not possible to tell which of those lenses took a particular photo. It may not be as sharp in the corners wide open to a pixel-peeper with a loupe as the 50-140, but I'm not bothered. It takes sharp, contrasty photos. Improvement Points: The ONLY thing I don't like is that at the long end it extends too much. That's the design, though, and I will happily live with it.

Ich habe mich für eine Städtetour für dieses Zomm-Objektiv entschieden. Ich wollte nur 1 Objektiv dabei haben und den Wechsel vermeiden. Kurz gesagt, ich wollte es bequem. In London habe ich dann alles im Regen alles auf die Karten "Spritzwasserschutz" gesetzt. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Wasser lief am Objektiv runter, so dass ich mir Anfangs Sorgen gemacht habe (eine Haube o. ä. hatte ich nicht dabei). Das Objektiv hat keine Schaden genommen, es hat auch danach einwandfrei funktioniert. Die WR Angabe von Fuji hatte nicht zu viel versprochen. Insgesamt hat es die erwartete Bequemlichkeit "geliefert". Die Bilder kommen nur leider nicht ganz an die gewohnte Schärfe heran, die ich gewohnt war. Da man dieses Objektiv eher als Reise-Zoom betrachten sollte, ist es aber die perfekte Alternative auf Reisen. Schlechtes Wetter kann ihm jedenfalls nichts anhaben und der Brennweitenbereich deckt eine Menge ab, so dass man kreativ mit ihm arbeiten kann
