This is the sharpest RF 70-200 that I have every owned. It is much easier to shoot than the short L version that I owned previously. It is tack sharp even when shot with the 1.4 extender which makes is a great option for wildlife photography. It was a great addition to my kit that I use for event photography as well.

Very happy to upgrade to this from an older model EF Lens. Quality and speed are great and the footprint takes up less space in my bag

Purchased because I wasn't happy with the focusing speed of the RF100-500mm lens on my R5MkII when taking family photos of our two spaniels on the beach. Whilst I still need to really put the lens through it's paces, the results of action shots of the dogs on the beach are fantastic. Generally shooting at 1/4000th at either f2.8 or f3.2, the spaniels are lovely and sharp whilst the background is nicely out of focus with great bokeh. Twist action is fine for zoom and the lens is nicely balanced on the camera. I'll let the photos examples do the talking .....

The pricey RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Z is a premium, no-compromise telephoto zoom for Canon's RF mirrorless system, delivering stellar optics, instant autofocus, and support for teleconverter and power-zoom accessories.
