Canon RF 200-800mm F/6.3-9 IS

I purchased this lens to get some extra reach for wildlife photography and this lens delivers what was needed. It is quite heavy and bulky but can be used by hand on a fast shutter with good light. The images are perfect for digital viewing and with a tripod they appear to sharp.

I am still getting used to this lens and occasionally take some "shaky" images due to rushing the shot. When I slow down and concentrate on the focus I take some pleasing (to me) photographs.

I brought this lens in January i use it for bird photography getting exceptional results paired with a Canon R7. Would recommend this lens.

After using the lighter RF 100- 400 I have noticed that it is tiring to hold steady after a while. I have also read in some articles that the lens barrell can be prone to snapping, maybe the temperature may affect the plastic and make it brittle especially the cold.

Fantastic reach and reasonably quick focussing for such a large lens - I would have preferred it to have been an internal zoom, but given the cost and the quality optics, I'll live with the compromises.
