Bluesound PULSE M, Verkabelt & Kabellos, 80 W, 60 - 20000 Hz, Weiß

Very good sound but we found the connection over WiFi and Apple Air-play too complicated. I managed to initially creat a ‘stereo-pair’ but this kept dropping out and eventually would not re-connect. This is not ‘plug and play’ - at least not if you want something simple to operate via Bluetooth.

Not, despite appearances, a smart speaker - but the Bluesound Pulse M is nevertheless a wireless speaker to be reckoned with. Treat it to the quality of content it demands and it’s a very rewarding listen.

While the Pulse M doesn't have the musicality of higher-priced wireless speakers, it's a solid performer, especially at top volume. Its driver configuration does an excellent job of filling the room with sound. Plus, it's a joy to use, as the BluOS controller app is one of the best-designed controller apps for any wireless speaker.

Richer Sounds Lichfield supplied this on a special order as they don't usually stock it. I'm very happy with the sound and it looks good. It's a little bigger than I had visualised but that is a plus for the sound quality. The upfiring bass means it isn't a good idea to position under wall cabinets, and the volume is a little lower than expected, but having said that I never want it set to more than 50-60% . With the Powernode in our living room it's a nicely integrated component of a flexible multi room system and control via BluOS is straightforward. It would be nice if BluOS supported BBC Sounds but there is not much prospect of that. Overall very pleased with this purchase.

The Pulse M was an addition to the Bluesound Node. The two units worked seamlessly in tandem, and individually. The sound belies the price. Audio Tailor demonstrated the possibilities underlying their lofty position in the audio tree.
