SanDisk Black WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe, 2 TB, M.2, 14900 MB/s

I conducted a thorough test of the Western Digital SSD (WD_BLACK SN8100 2TB): According to the manufacturer, the SSD is rated at a read speed of 14,900 MB/s and a write speed of 14,000 MB/s. Based on my tests using AS SSD Benchmark and other tools (see screenshots), the following measured values were obtained: Seq Read: 11,248 MB/s Seq Write: 11,780 MB/s 4K Read: 93.4 MB/s 4K Write: 222.47 MB/s 4K 64-Thread Read: 3,489.2 MB/s 4K 64-Thread Write: 4648.45 MB/s Read latency: 0.02 ms Write latency: 0.09 ms With CrystalDiskMark, the values naturally look a bit better: Seq Read: 14727.6 MB/s Seq Write: 14063.9 MB/s 4K Read: 101.4 MB/s 4K Write: 249 MB/s The AS SSD score is 13,183 points.

I have trusted Sandisk for a long time for many products This SN8100 NVMe SSD is as speedy as I expected It is a great product

I have 2 of these in a raid cofig and they are fast and reliable. I replaced two 2tb 990 Pros with 2 of these. I was having random freezes and other issues with the other drives. I sent one of the 990's back for repair and got the same one back, with the same issues. That's what led me to buy these. I've had them installed for a month and no issues. I took them out and reinstalled the 990's and the issues returned. Same image on all the drives. I have an nvme 4 laptop so these are only marginally faster than the 990's but that was to be expected. I was afraid it was a motherboard issue but these fixed things for me. WD will get all of my drive business from now on.

The WD Black SN8100 is a fantastic PCIe 5.0 SSD with some of the fastest speeds we've ever tested thanks to some marvellous sequential and random performance and some of the quickest times for games and file transfers you'll find. Its pricing is largely in line with key rivals, although remains quite expensive.

Great NVMe recorded similar speeds as advertised. Very reliable.
