The SSD worked for the first six months then just died after that! Tried reformatting but only shows 1GB and doesn't store any data on it. Amazon doesn't even allow contacting support about this product.

I bought this to upgrade my Chromebook's memory. Unfortunately, the model I have only had 1 m.2 slot. and the wifi is plugged into that slot. I'm not going to give a bad review because I simply haven't been able to use my SSD but I thought I would make this review so others who are looking for the same would be aware.

I originally tried to bump up the storage on my Acer Chromebook 15 with a SSD from Dogfish. Unfortunately, those failed to work properly (would reboot at random times, or fail to boot). This unit was a snap to install, and has been working for a month without a problem. The added storage space has allowed me to run Crouton with a Ubuntu 18.04 build on my Chromebook. I'm most likely going to look at trying a Windows 10 install as well.

I spent $100 to buy a 256GB ssd, and got a $10 worth of 32GB one inside a 256GB packaging instead. Really pissed and disappointed.
