Recognized easily by the server, but I'm not sure that the premium price of HP drives is worth it. The HP website touts "backward compatibility" of their new carriers with gen 6 carriers, but this carrier does not fit the older units. Separate gen 6 carriers are available inexpensively on Amazon, though.
