The smell of santal 33 is good, but it’s so ubiquitous that yesterday I was on a tour of an art exhibit and successfully triangulated which of the 50 guests had it on based on the unmissable pickle scent. If you like Santal 33 but don’t like the pickle note or the recognition it causes, this is worth a try! This is a versatile, creamy sandalwood with some green and floral notes similar to santal 33 by le labo. However, the signature salty pickle scent is replaced by some sweetness reminiscent of coconut. This lets it stand on its own, even though I still think it took some inspiration. Works fairly well year-round and in a variety of settings and a solid choice for everyday professional settings when you don’t want to wear a blue shower gel scent. That being said, I haven’t made my mind up on repurchasing as the sweeter side can get cloying on really hot summer days.
