Lalique Encre Noire A L’Extreme ist ein dunkler, holziger Vetiverduft mit deutlichem Nischen-Charakter zu einem relativ niedrigen Preis. Er wird häufig als mysteriös, maskulin und ernst beschrieben, mit einem scharfen Auftakt und einer erdigen, rauchigen Vetiverbasis, die lange anhält. Viele Nutzer berichten von guter bis sehr guter Haltbarkeit, allerdings variiert die Projektion und kann bei manchen schnell hautnah werden. Der Flakon wird als einer der schönsten seiner Preisklasse gelobt und passt gut zum formellen Herbst‑ und Wintercharakter des Duftes. Corpse paint, animal bones, incense, shrieking, distorted guitars, blast beats and anguished vocals - probably only a few people here will understand or relate to this, but this perfume smells like all those things coming together for an unforgettable Black Metal show. I have never come across a "darker" perfume. Earthy, smoky, woody and definitely a scent that rubs people the wrong way in everyday life, yet stands out at Black Metal concerts alongside the one-dimensional patchouli bombs while still capturing the vibe perfectly. The cypress definitely makes it green, and you have to like that, but combined with the incense note, the woody notes transport me to a dark forest in the deepest night, where the only source of light is a distant campfire. At the moment, in the hot summer, it is decidedly too heavy for me, but it will find its use at the aforementioned shows.

The individual components are really promising, and a good opportunity came my way. Unfortunately, I have to cut it short: on my skin, the scent mutates into an omnipresent tar note that continuously dominates from start to finish and nearly covers everything. I think I perceive a subtle wood note towards the end. Interestingly, the tar smell disappears when I layer it with Primavera Tuberose or Nasomatto Narcotic Venus, resulting in a - for me - very intriguing scent. Since my skin apparently reacts differently than it does for many others, no one should be deterred by this, as I can only evaluate what happens to me and what I perceive. It will likely develop differently for most people.

An interesting scent with a peculiar composition and an unbeatable price-performance ratio. The bottle design is also completely convincing. Unfortunately, the fragrance turns out to be too one-dimensional for me; it leaves an exhausting, sweetish, almost stale note. The hoped-for dark, bitter-woody depth is sadly completely missing here.

Ein wunderschöner dunkler, waldiger Duft, der an Black Metal erinnert. Haltbarkeit und Sillage könnten jedoch noch einen Schuss vertragen.
