Issey Miyake Cedar EDT 50 ml

I am currently on a little "fragrance journey" through the Miyake perfumes. Le Sel, l'eau in its variations... And I am surprised and disappointed by the "eau intense" at the same time. Because: it is darker, spicier, but not intense. Upon spraying, there is initially a scent note that reminds me of ethanol. However, it fades quickly. Then it starts with citrus notes and very light bergamot, shortly thereafter camphor and nutmeg join in for a note close to spirit. It is surrounded by a slightly dark smokiness. After a few minutes, there is no trace of citrus left. Rather, the (incense) camphor note lingers closely for about 2 hours. It's okay, or rather, it WOULD be okay if it didn't have such weak longevity and intensity. This EdT would benefit from 30% more strength to truly be called "intense."

I am a fan of fresh scents. Fougere and similar variations. The L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Eau de Toilette is a great aquatic. It has character and is timeless. But it also has typical 90s vibes. I think it's fantastic. The Vetiver flanker doesn't come across as bitter, harsh, and aquatic. The Yuzu is prominent, just like the lemon. The ginger is present but holds back a bit. The namesake vetiver makes everything greenish and also woody. In the base, it becomes aquatic with a woody touch. The original DNA seems to shine through. It lasts about 6-7 hours. The sillage is pleasant and not overwhelming. Very versatile. Work or going out. It doesn't matter. For the cold half of the year, it's spicy enough. For the warm half of the year, it's fresh and aquatic enough. I really like it. Just a well-rounded thing. Great job, Miyake, San!

Bought for my husband for Christmas. Smells gorgeous and I managed to buy with a massive discount too!

Great item and very quick click and collect from my local store. Price was a lot cheaper than other places.
