Dsquared2 Wood Original Eau de Parfum wird oft als frischer, holziger Duft mit deutlichem Veilchenblatt und Citrus in der Kopfnote und einer trockenen, waldigen Basis beschrieben. Clear marketing is always nice - it clearly tells you what it is, and that’s exactly what it is. Original Wood is pure wood. Accompanied by freshness in the opening, a hint of forest comes in right away and really captures that feeling and the pure scent of wood. No herbs, fruits, or citrus - it is pure wood. The opening is strong. However, the drydown is not my thing; it becomes sweet, but it lacks the spice or something that makes the wood interesting. It’s sweet woods, somewhat resinous - not my thing. I had hoped for more here. When it comes to designers, the brand is really something different, and it’s certainly not a typical mainstream scent. Nothing in my collection even roughly goes in this direction. Sillage is relatively low, but the longevity is quite decent - especially for the price point. Cool concept, initially strong, then strongly diminishing.

Cannot tell you how happy I am that this is back. Used to come in a square glass and wood bottle, until it was discontinued. Couldn't find it anywhere, and the new scents were not as nice. Saw on their instagram this was coming back and honestly I was worried it wouldnt be the original scent but it is.

Very fresh wood scent. Really, it smells like literal wood. The violet and aquatic notes makes this an excellent casual scent for the summer, spring, and fall. It's a good alternative to the typical fresh scents that are out there. Longevity and projection are above average, and the bottle and atomizer work great. It's a people pleaser without being generic. Give it a shot.
