Das Honor Magic V3 überzeugt durch sein ultradünnes und leichtes Design, was es sehr tragbar für ein Falttelefon macht. Der Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 und 12GB RAM sorgen für schnelle Leistung, das Gerät wird jedoch bei starker Beanspruchung schnell warm. Der 5150 mAh Akku hält lange und lädt schnell, sowohl kabellos als auch kabelgebunden. Die OLED-Displays sind hell, flüssig und augenfreundlich. Die IPX8-Wasserbeständigkeit und robuste Bauweise bieten zusätzliche Sicherheit. Nachteile sind der fehlende erweiterbare Speicher, keine günstigere 256GB-Variante und eine Software, die sich stark von Standard-Android unterscheidet, was nicht jedem gefallen wird.

The Honor Magic V3 is thinner, lighter and costs less than the main foldable competition. Its cameras are better, it has more storage, faster charging and a larger battery too. So while the software isn't as refined and Honor's update commitment is less extensive than, say, Google's – for anyone who wants their foldable to feel like a traditional phone when closed the Magic V3 is the one to beat.

The Honor Magic V3 is an impressive triumph in engineering and performance, blending the current world’s slimmest and lightest foldable chassis with an excellent camera along with the might of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It also packs good battery life and a bevy of Google Cloud AI-enhanced capabilities though its implementation of AI still needs a bit more polish. That minor quibble aside does not detract from the fact that this is one of the best foldables of 2024.
