I have not bought an Nvidia card for a bit, the last few cards have been ATI but this time the 1050 was really in the sweet part of the pricing realm. After receiving the card and installing the drivers etc all went well but when I tried it with Kodi I was having a great deal of problems with all files that I through at it. The problem was that Kodi was not using the GPU but instead using software decoding. At the end of the day I got it fixed but I cannot narrow it down to what fixed the problem because I tried so many different things before making each test. Now that its working it's great, but it took a long time to get there.

Upgrading desktop to perform as a gamer pc. It was easy to install and we are satifies with the graphics.

Great basic graphics card (MSI GT 1030 2GH LP OC) - no issues and good enough performance to play games on Linux (recent openSuse and Ubuntu) on Steam. Good value - the only basic graphics card with DisplayPort.

much better than the ddr4 version with almost exactly the same name. twice as fast. be careful when shopping for this card, that extra $15 bucks is well worth it.

Miracast is the technology that Microsoft has been using since Windows 8 (2012) for projection to another graphics cards display. Sadly it seems Nvidia and MSI are neglecting it unlike all my Intel PCs. Same despite trying numerous drivers. What a shame.
