Am the quality of the strap is spot on and fits an SG well, however, doesn’t a Gretsch- I realise the guitar has screw in locking pins so is slightly different but just worth noting

Good strap, but locking mechanism is a bit clunky.

I've been using the Planet Waves locking straps for years now. I use them on every guitar that I don't have strap locks installed on. I had a strap come loose once and my guitar almost hit the ground. I decided then and there that wouldn't happen again and bought my first Planet Waves locking strap. They're easy to adjust and quick to install. And, they're reasonably priced. Highly recommend them!!! Musical Background: Jam at home. Build guitars for a hobby. Musical Style: Blues, rock, and country.

This strap is something I keep for a backup. It is long enough for people over 6 foot. The locking parts are rigid and it can be difficult to open at a gig in the dark. I would not buy another one, just spend a little more and get some nice metal ones. The only up side for me is that I can switch to random guitar without changing straps in a rush (except my 2 stage basses, they have metal strap locks and straps.) Musical Background: 22 years of bass playing. Professionally for 10 years. Fender Jazz basses, American made! Musical Style: Rock, Indy, Punk, Metal, Jazz, Blues.

It works, but it damaged the finish on my Strat due to the hard plastic. Musical Background: 20 years guitar
